What is primary rhinoplasty?
Primary rhinoplasty is the first operation performed on the nose to change its appearance, improve its function, or both. Because the tissues have never been operated on before, it offers the best conditions for a precise, natural-looking result.
What can be changed?
- Removing a bump (dorsal hump) on the bridge of the nose
- Refining a wide, bulbous or drooping tip
- Narrowing wide nostrils for better symmetry
- Straightening a crooked nose caused by injury or genetics

How the operation is planned
Dr. Koç begins with a detailed assessment of your facial proportions, skin thickness and the internal structure of your nose. Together you agree on a realistic goal: a nose that suits your face rather than a “standard” shape. Depending on what needs to be corrected, the operation is performed with an open or closed technique under general anaesthesia and usually takes two to three hours.
Recovery
